The difference between acetate fabric and heavyweight silk

2022-08-03

The difference between acetate fabric and heavyweight silk: heavyweight silk is silk fabric with natural fibers as its material, and is very popular with consumers for its elegant appearance, soft luster, and comfortable wearing.

It is said that heavyweight silk contains twice the amount of silk than the ordinary silk fabric, and is finely spun by a special technique. Besides the characteristics of ordinary silk fabrics, it is also non-shrinking, stiff and smooth, and easy to be organized.

The quality of heavyweight silk fabrics is really higher than that of ordinary silk fabrics. In particular, heavyweight silk fabrics are not hard to be damaged due to hitching, which is unmatched by other silk fabrics.

Acetate fabric, commonly known as acetate cloth, also called Yasha, is the Chinese pronunciation of ACETATE in English. Acetate is a kind of man-made fiber obtained by esterification with acetic acid and cellulose as materials. It is a member of the family of man-made fibers. It is often used to imitate silk fibers, and is made by advanced textile technology. With bright colors, bright appearance and soft sense of touch, its luster and performance are all close to mulberry silk.

Compared with cotton and linen and other natural fabrics, acetate fabrics are better in moisture absorption, air permeability and resilience, have no static electricity and hairballs, and are close to the skin. They are very fit for making dresses, silk scarves and so on. Also, acetate fabric can be used to replace natural silk to make linings of all kinds of brand fashionable dress, such as wind coats, leather coats, formal dresses, cheongsams, wedding dresses, Tang suits, winter skirts and the like! So everyone sees it as a substitute for silk. We can find their trace in the lining of skirts or coats.
